The online fashion retailer, based in Manchester, have described the Love Island runner up as their “IT girl”.
PLT Marketplace is set to be “a buying and selling community allowing you to sell on the clothes you no longer wear or buy & shop for something new”.
Indiyah said her ambassador role is a “dream come true” as she took to Instagram teasing the date 5 September 2022
“Watch this space,” she wrote.
Almost 70,000 people have liked the announcement on the PrettyLittleThing Instagram account, which boasts over 18million followers.
The brand shared a photo of Indiyah wearing striking knee high blue boots, teamed with a mini skirt and white crop top as she flaunt her enviable figure.
The caption read: “Ok now we can make it official! 🛍💕 Our IT girl @indiyahhp will be our first ever ambassador for the marketplace app; a buying and selling community allowing you to sell on the clothes you no longer wear or buy & shop for something new! ♻️🤩
“We’re so excited to finally share our secret and cant wait to show you what we’ve been working with Indiyah on! 😍5.09.22 Save the date! #pltmarketplace”
Many Love Island stars were quick to congratulate the new deal, with this year’s winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu writing: “This is what we talkin ! Well done angel”.
Molly-Mae Hague, who was a Love Island runner in 2019 and is the Creative Director of PLT, wrote: “UNREAL! Welcome to the fam”.
Antigoni Buxton, Gemma Owen, Dami Hope and Summer Botwe also commented on the post.
This huge announcement comes just a day after Indiyah announced she is now the beauty ambassador for Boots.
Love Island’s Danica Taylor previously shared the news that the PLT Marketplace app is now available on the app store, explaining: “The best part about this new app is it’s not just for PLT items, it’s a place to buy and sell from all your favourite brands in a sustainable way.”
Last month, fellow islander Gemma Owen signed a six-figure deal to become the latest ambassador for PLT.
Fans were angered by this as a previous social media poll showed that Indiyah was the favourite to become the next PLT doll.
However the CEO of the fast fashion brand Umar Kamani hit back at followers, in a now-deleted tweet he wrote: “PLT fans we listen to you, you will see.”
