Before heading to the Invictus Games in Germany (where he will be joined by wife Meghan), Prince Harry will be in the UK on 7 September for an award ceremony for WellChild, where he will be giving a speech. It is expected that he will remain in the UK for the anniversary of his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth 11’s death, before meeting up with the Duchess of Sussex for the Invictus Games.

The Times reported that “Neither Archewell, Harry and Meghan’s foundation, nor Buckingham Palace confirmed on whether the Duke would meet any other members of the royal family to mark the anniversary for the following day.”

When was Meghan Markle last in the UK?

The last time Meghan Markle was in the UK was in September 2022 when the Duchess of Sussex gave a speech at the One Young World Summit in Manchester. After this event on September 4, 2022, they flew to Germany for an event marking one year to go until the 2023 Invictus Games. The couple then flew back to the UK for the WellChild Awards on September 8, which was the afternoon when Queen Elizabeth 11 passed away.

The couple then remained in the UK longer than they expected because of the Queen’s death and the period of mourning. As well as attending the funeral on September 19, they joined the Prince and Princess of Wales to greet crowds that had gathered to mourn on September 10.

At present, there is no indication when the Duchess of Sussex will be back in the UK.

Hello! recently reported that one reason why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be at Balmoral Castle with the rest of the royal family for their annual summer break might be because of Prince Archie. Hello reported that "Prince Archie attends pre-school n the US, nearly their Montecito mansion, and unlike the UK, the term times in the US tend to commence in August, so there's a possibility that their son is already back at school."
