Never would I have thought that Elon Musk would be the poster child of business in the front, party in the back. But the past day in the life of the Tesla CEO has brought just that to light.

Elon may be able to let down his hair a little at the moment and focus on other investment ventures off the back of naming Linda Yaccarino as Twitter’s new CEO. That came after continued backlash over the way he was running the company.

Therefore with Twitter on the back foot, Elon was seen dancing the night away into the early hours of Sunday morning on the closing weekend of the Sundream Baja music festival in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, just 24 hours after being spotted at a trance music event on Saturday in LA.

Elon’s hands were not the only thing flying into the air (like he just didn't care) as Sunday got underway as shortly after the music came to a close, the SpaceX founder boarded his GulfStream jet to fly across the Atlantic to Europe.

While Tesla’s one and only European factory resides in Berlin and his alleged child with Amber Heard is living in Madrid, Spain with the actress who has chosen a quieter life away from Hollywood after her court case against Johnny Depp, Elon was headed to the French capital.

I wonder if the world’s second richest man spent his flight deciding whether he would have croissants and pain au chocolats for breakfast upon landing, or if he would stick to his usual breakfast of coffee and a donut…per his previous admission.

As Elon landed in Le Bourget airport on Monday morning, just 24 hours after he was raving to Rüfüs Du Sol, he promptly hopped in a car and ‘fell asleep’ during the journey to Elysee Palace where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The 45-minute meeting took place as part of Mr Macron’s efforts to attract more investment to the country at a time where there is civil unrest as a result of the proposed pension reform bill that raises the retirement age from 62 years old to 64.

Following their discussion, where Elon decided to don a suit instead of his usual t-shirt and jean combination (yet failed to shave), President Macron tweeted: “We talked about the attractiveness of France and the significant progress in the electric vehicle and energy sectors. We also talked about digital regulation. We have so much to do together."

As Elon confirmed his interests in supplying ‘significant investments’ by stating: “"No announcement today but I am very impressed with President Macron and the French government and how welcoming they are.”

On the face of it, Elon has found the perfect balance between partying and work this weekend, however it must be noted that not everything was ‘tout bon’ in the life of the Tesla chief executive as he has been subpoenaed in the last 12 hours as part of a Jeffrey Epstein case.

Elon may have flown over the US Virgin Islands when heading to Paris, but upon Monday morning the 51-year-old woke to the news that some of his documents had been requested by the islands in a lawsuit accusing JPMorgan bank of enabling Jeffrey Epstein to sex traffic women.

It must be noted that Elon has not been accused of any wrongdoing, with the Twitter owner reiterating his involvement with Epstein in receiving financial advice, but is looking for information to prove the bank missed red flags surrounding Epstein’s crimes on his private island in the territory.
