Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrate their son’s first birthday with heartwarming video

Perrie Edwards has shared previously unseen video footage and photographs of her son Axel in a tribute to mark his first birthday.

The Little Mix singer, 29, who lives in Surrey, gave a glimpse into her past year as a new mum while celebrating on Sunday 21 August 2022.

She shared a heartfelt post with her nearly 16 million Instagram followers, accompanied by the 2002 song Baby Boy by R&B group Big Brovaz.

Axel is seen cosying up to Perrie and her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 29, as well as enjoying a holiday and having fun at bath time.

Perrie began the post showing herself in hospital just hours before Axel’s birth, with Alex laying in an adjacent bed excited to meet their new bundle of joy.

The adorable montage closes with photographs from his jungle-themed birthday party, which had a ‘Wild One’ birthday cake.

In the caption for the post, Perrie wrote: “A whole year of Axel. Memories to cherish forever. I love you my absolute joy, you’ll always be my baby boy!”

Friends and fans of the former X-Factor winner were quick to share their own birthday wishes, in the comments.

Baby Axel’s footballer Dad, commented on the post with two red love hearts, “❤️❤️.”

Fellow member of Little Mix, Leigh-Anne Pinnock wrote: ‘Happy Birthday Axel ❤️❤️❤️.’

Leigh-Anne’s baby twins, who she shares with fiancé Andre Gray, also recently celebrated their first birthday.

The 30-year-old cherished the moment by taking to Instagram with a series of unseen photos, including her time in hospital and breast feeding.

The birthday celebrations come just two months after Perrie announced that she and Alex got engaged.

A heartwarming photo captued the moment Alex got down on one knee at a beach. Perrie’s new rock is estimated value around £100,000.

She captioned the engagement photos, writing: “Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!”

Perrie has been dating her Liverpool FC fiancé since 2016, however they kept their relationship private until February the following year, when they decided to go public with their romance.

Prior to her relationship with Oxlade-Chamberlain, the former X Factor contestant was in a highly-publicised romance with ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik.

The singers got engaged in 2013, but later split in 2015.
