Alan Brazil has long been part of the TalkSport setup.
The former international footballer turned presenter has been a consistent presence on the airwaves since the late 1990s.

Who is Alan Brazil?
Glasgow born Alan Brazil is a Scottish broadcaster and former football player.

Hide AdDuring his playing days, Alan turned out for Ipswich Town, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Coventry City across a 14 year career.
A forward with an eye for goal, he was not short of suitors and earned 13 international caps for Scotland, before a persistent back problem caused him to retire.
He since turned his focus to a media career which began in television before making the switch to radio and a home at TalkSport for the past 20-plus years.

Hide AdHe is widely recognised for his deep Scottish tones on TalkSport radio's breakfast show and has presented alongside numerous famous guests over his time on air.
Why is Alan Brazil not on TalkSport?
Alan Brazil, 62, usually hosts the breakfast show on TalkSport on Thursdays and Fridays.
He had been the main anchor of the morning programme from 6am-10am for 20 years before changes were made to the line up last year.

Hide AdIn 2020, Laura Woods was confirmed as the show's presenter Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with Brazil taking the Thursday and Friday slots.
But Alan was absent from the airwaves on the morning of Thursday 9 September.
In a post made on Twitter, Alan told his listeners: "I’ve been a little quiet but don’t worry I’ll reveal all."
And later added: "Let’s just say my heart’s still in it."

Hide AdThe Tweet was seen by thousands of people with many leaving comments wishing the presenter well and looking forward to hearing him back on TalkSport soon.
Will Alan Brazil return to TalkSport?
While Alan was absent from his usual TalkSport slot on the breakfast show, Ally McCoist and Gabby Agbonlahor stepped in.
McCoist, a former Rangers and Scotland international, has enjoyed a fruitful media career since hanging up his boots and manager hat.

Hide AdFormer Aston Villa forward Agbonlahor, who also represented England at international level, is also making a name for himself off the pitch.
Regular listeners to the breakfast show were heartened to read Alan's plans on making a return to TalkSport in the near future.
