The Inbetweeners are heading back to where it all began, with original stars spotted filming on Magaluf Beach 15 years after the first movie – and two familiar faces reportedly back too.
The Inbetweeners are back where it all began, with the original stars spotted filming on Magaluf Beach 15 years after their unforgettable holiday antics.

Joe Thomas, who plays hapless Simon Cooper, and Simon Bird, who stars as socially awkward Will McKenzie, were seen strolling along the Spanish resort's famous sands as cameras rolled on the much-anticipated third instalment. The pair were reportedly dressed in shorts and T-shirts as holidaymakers watched the production unfold.
And fans could be in for an extra dose of nostalgia, with two familiar faces from the original film also spotted on set. Laura Haddock and Tamla Kari, who played Lucy and Alison respectively, were reportedly seen back on the beach, raising hopes that Simon and Will's former love interests will feature in the new comedy.

A British tourist, who asked not to be named, told Sell Us Your Story: "They were actively filming on the beach and I could see a few extras too. I heard an air horn go off and saw lots of people running out of the sea screaming too so with the extras in life jackets I imagine a quite dramatic water scene was happening."
The holidaymaker added that they had spotted the two actresses from the first film, describing their return as an interesting twist. The witness also revealed that some young fans approached the actors for photographs but were turned away by production staff. The scale of the shoot appeared impressive, with a sizeable crew and extras involved in the beach scenes.
Magaluf is a particularly fitting location for the reunion, having provided the backdrop for some of the first film's most memorable moments. Although the original story was set in Malia, Crete, much of the holiday footage was actually shot in Magaluf in 2011. The resort featured in the infamous skinny-dipping and boat-party rescue scenes, which helped make the film a hit with fans.
The third film is scheduled to arrive on Netflix next year, giving viewers another chance to catch up with the gang.
