The Queen delivered this year’s Queen’s Speech, laying out the government’s agenda for the next year, from the House of Lords earlier today. It featured a bumper list of legislation and bills, though there were still some notable absences, particularly on adult social care.

The leader of the opposition Keir Starmer said the Queen’s Speech did not go nearly far enough to rebuild after the pandemic, while the prime minister insisted that it would give him “the essential tools” to help the United Kingdom reach its potential. Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - live updates

Key Events

  • FT: Blackpool 0-3 Huddersfield Town
  • Seasiders aiming to make it back-to-back league wins
  • Ollie Turton set to make his return to Bloomfield Road after surprise summer exit

The Seasiders are ruthlessly punished, conceding three goals in just 14 minutes at the start of the second-half. A harsh lesson for Neil Critchley’s men.

Welcome back to the Championship, eh?

Almost a goal back for Pool as Shayne Lavery latches onto Josh Bowler’s through-ball, only to be denied by keeper Lee Nicholls.

Bowler then whistles a sublime shot just wide of the upright.

Not a great deal to report here. The game was virtually done by the 60-minute mark.

Pool are still getting forward and trying to reduce the arrears, but Huddersfield are dealing with them fairly comfortably.

A lot of Pool fans have already made their journey to the exits.

Dujon Sterling is on for his Blackpool debut, replacing Jordan Gabriel.

Gary Madine makes his return, replacing Tyreece John-Jules.

Pool know the game is done, but they’re still plugging away. They deserve credit for that.

62 - Goal Huddersfield (0-3)

Pool fail to clear their lines and they’re punished once again. Jonathan Hogg the man to drill past Chris Maxwell from the edge of the box following some confusion among the Pool ranks.

This is getting ridiculous.

Keshi Anderson replaces Jerry Yates, which sees Tyreece John-Jules move into a more central position.

Ollie Turton is also on for the visitors.

54 - Goal Huddersfield (0-2)

The away side double their lead, scrambling the ball over the line from close range after Pool failed to deal with a dangerous corner. Matty Pearson looks to be the man who got the final touch.

This is so harsh on the Seasiders.

Shayne Lavery’s stoops low to meet Luke Garbutt’s corner, but his header loops agonisingly over. So close!

Pool, roared on by the North Stand, have responded well to the setback.

Shayne Lavery goes to ground in the Huddersfield, but the referee ignores Pool’s penalty appeals. The striker then goes close at the near post.
