A teen crash victim who died alongside three of his friends was set to become a dad to a baby boy
He was one of three friends killed when the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree near Kiveton Park, Rotherham, last month.
The 19-year-old from Kiveton Park, died alongside Mason Hall, also 19, from Woodhouse and Martin Ward, 18, from Swallownest.
The white Ford Fiesta they were travelling in left Kiveton Lane, between Kiveton Park and Todwick, and ploughed into a tree on Sunday, October 24.
Ryan’s funeral was held at Wales Church on Thursday 18 November.
His loved ones walked from his family home to the church on Thursday in a procession led by the hearse, for the service.
Gender reveal held at wake
After the funeral service the gender of Ryan’s unborn child was revealed to be a boy.
In a Facebook message prior to the funeral, Ryan’s mum Natalie said the baby gender reveal was to be held at the wake following the funeral.
She said: “We will be revealing the gender of Ryan and Jess’ baby at the wake. There will be a book at the club for you all to write a message in so we can show the baby just how much Ryan was loved.”
The wake was held at Wales Jubilee Club.
It comes after a GoFundMe campaign raised over £4,400 to help Ryan’s family with funeral costs, as well as supporting his pregnant girlfriend Jessica.
The page read: “I’d like to hope we can raise enough to also help Ryan’s girlfriend, Jessica give their unborn child the best start in life.
“Any amount you can spare would be very gratefully received and would help lift the financial burden that the family face at this awful time. Thank you.”
Martin’s funeral was taking place at Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield, on Monday, November 22.
While Mason’s funeral is to be held at Rotherham Crematorium at 2pm on Monday, November 29.
Tragically, Martin’s mum, Sara Jane Smith died a few days after her son’s death in the crash.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is under way.
