A seven-square metre studio in London - with hobs, a sink and shower right next to the bed - is being sold for £150,000.
The tiny room in trendy Notting Hill - close to David Beckham and Elton John’s west London pads - is being marketed as a “bolthole” as it cannot be used as a permanent resident or let out, our sister title LondonWorld reports.

The bed is right next to two hot plates for cooking, and a sink, with the shower next to that.
There is one window and a small toilet in a cupboard.

The house is situated in Colville Road, Kensington and Chelsea, which is the most expensive local authority in the country for housing.
It is not far from trendy Portobello Road, where Ed Sheeran owns a pub, while Simon Cowell, David Beckham and Elton John live nearby.
Estate agent Douglas and Gordon says the studio room would be “great for a London bolthole or study/office space”.

However the agents admit it “needs complete modernising throughout”.

The advert, on RightMove, says it has great transport links and is close to all local amenities.
The description states: “A wonderful opportunity to create a London bolt hole in this prime central location in W11.
“This studio room requires modernisation throughout and could become a wonderful base for someone. Cash purchase only.

“Colville Road is in the heart of Notting Hill with all the local amenities restaurants, bars and shops of Westbourne Grove, Portobello and Notting Hill Gate.
“Notting Hill Gate tube and Ladbroke Grove tube both give quick and easy access into the City and West End.
“NB: The property can not be let or occupied as a permanent residence.”
The studio must have been on the market for a while, as the price was reduced to £150,000 in June.

By comparison, £150,000 would get you a six-bedroom terraced house in Hartlepool, a two-bedroom semi-detached house in Glasgow, or a three-bedroom house in Preston.
