According to a spokesperson from the student group, the arrest took place after 20 people blocked the entrance to a building, and three others entered the premises.
A police spokesperson confirmed that six individuals were detained during the protest but declined to confirm any names. However, the group Students Against the Occupation stated that Thunberg, 21, was among those detained.

Hide AdA photo published by the news outlet Ekstra Bladet appeared to show Thunberg in handcuffs, wearing a black-and-white keffiyeh shawl. Thunberg also shared images on Instagram depicting riot police entering the building where the protest was taking place.
"I can’t confirm the names of those arrested, but six people have been arrested in connection with the demonstration," a police spokesperson said. "They are suspected of forcing their way into the building and blocking the entrance."
Students Against the Occupation issued a statement on Instagram explaining their actions: "While the situation in Palestine only gets worse, the University of Copenhagen continues cooperation with academic institutions in Israel. We are occupying [the university’s] central administration with one demand: academic boycott now."
Pro-Palestinian protests have surged across universities in the US and Europe in recent months, with students and activists mobilising to demand an end to Israel's military actions in Gaza and its ongoing occupation of Palestinian territories.
