I spent longer than intended browsing the website and was super impressed by the variety, the prices and, most importantly, some really gorgeous designs.

What I like about the Pagazzi lighting

I've been putting Pagazzi's beautiful Bixby Pendant in Amber Ribbed Glass and Brushed Bronze to the test, and it's a real showstopper. Its warm metallic finish and textured glass immediately caught my eye on the website, and in real life it's even more beautiful. And larger than it looks on the website!

The combination of amber ribbed glass and brushed bronze gives the Bixby a lovely vintage-inspired appearance, but there's something contemporary about it, too.

The Bixby has replaced a grey feather ceiling lampshade in my hallway which, although lovely when I first bought it, had become something of a dust magnet. The new pendant is a complete transformation, giving the space a much smarter, more sophisticated look. And I'm delighted to have waved goodbye to those dust-catching feathers!

The amber glass creates a beautifully warm glow, while the ribbed detailing adds texture and interest. It's a statement light without being overpowering, and looks every bit as attractive switched off as it does illuminated - an important factor me as we rarely have the central light on, relying more on lamps.

The pendant is height-adjustable during installation, making it suitable for different spaces, including dining areas, living rooms and hallways. It takes an E27 bulb and can be dimmed with a suitable dimmable bulb and compatible switch.

But what impressed me just as much as the Bixby was the sheer breadth of Pagazzi's collection.

If you're looking for a statement ceiling light, there's everything from dramatic cascading pendants to understated fittings that work well in smaller rooms.

Among the newest arrivals, the Oslo 12 Light Aged Brass and Clear Glass Cascade Pendant Light, surprisingly priced at £219, looks like a bargain to me . Featuring 12 clear glass shades suspended at different heights from an aged brass fitting, it's a spectacular statement piece that would look fabulous above a staircase or in a hallway with a high ceiling. It's exactly the sort of lighting that gives a house the wow factor.

And for something even more dramatic, there's the £329 Bubble 10 Light Gold Ceiling Pendant.

But it's not all elaborate chandeliers and expensive statement pieces, either. Pagazzi has plenty of smaller, affordable designs that could transform a bedside table, console or living room corner.

I particularly liked the new Odette ceramic table lamps, available in green or white for £39, and the Elio Olive Green Table Lamp, also £39.

And it's not just me who's taken by the brand. Pagazzi has a 4.6 out of 5 service rating on Feefo, based on more than 400 ratings over the past year, while its Trustpilot score stands at 4 out of 5 from more than 9,400 reviews. Customers frequently praise the stylish designs, helpful staff and choice of lighting, although some have reported problems with damaged products and customer service.

What I don’t like about the Pagazzi lighting

There's very little to criticise about the Bixby itself, although it's worth remembering that, like most pendant lights, it requires installation rather than simply plugging it in. Depending on your existing fittings, that might mean calling in an electrician, which is an additional expense to consider.

And while Pagazzi's enormous selection is undoubtedly a strength, it can also make choosing just one design surprisingly difficult. I found myself bookmarking rather more lights than I actually needed!

It's also worth checking which products qualify for the current discount, as the offer applies to eligible new lighting rather than everything on the website.

My verdict

If you're looking to refresh a room without committing to a complete makeover, take a look at Pagazzi.

My Bixby pendant is a lovely example of how one carefully chosen light fitting can add character, warmth and a touch of luxury to a room.

But it's the variety that makes this retailer particularly appealing. Whether you're searching for an inexpensive bedside lamp, a sophisticated wall light or a dramatic chandelier, there's plenty to explore at a range of price points.
