Peter Phillips Harriet Sperling romance: King Charles’s nephew to marry NHS nurse - wedding guest list including the King and Queen
It sounds like a fairytale but tomorrow, the King’s nephew, Peter Phillips, is set to marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling.
The royal family will come together on Saturday (June 6) to celebrate the wedding of the Princess Royal’s son Peter Phillips. The 48-year-old is set to marry his 45-year-old fiancée Harriet Sperling in a Gloucestershire village near his mother’s Gatcombe Park estate in Minchinhampton where he lives.
Mr Phillips is the King’s nephew, William and Harry’s first cousin, the brother of Zara, and the son of Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips. He is reported to have met Ms Sperling in 2024 at a sporting event involving their children.
The couple made their first public appearance together at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024 and their engagement was announced on August 1, 2025. The couple will tie the knot at All Saints Church which sits in the heart of Kemble in the Cotswolds.
Who is Harriet Sperling?
Harriet Sperling grew up in Gloucestershire, the daughter of the late solicitor Rupert Sanders and Mary Hoskins. She has one daughter from a previous relationship and works as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist for the NHS with a background in early brain development.
Also a freelance writer, Harriet has contributed to publications such as Woman Alive magazine, where she previously opened up about her experiences as a single mother.
Although not of royal birth, she does have distant genealogical ties to the British royal family - specifically the Duke of Gloucester - as well as the Courage brewing dynasty.

The King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are among those expected to descend on Kemble for the private nuptials.
It is understood the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not attend, amid reports the Sussexes were left off the guest list. Cousins Harry and Mr Phillips were close when younger but it is reported they have lost touch, with the duke, who has a longstanding rift with his brother William, moving to the US, from where he has criticised members of his family and the royal institution.
Also expected to be there are Mr Phillips’s children Savannah, 15, and 14-year-old Isla, as well as Ms Sperling’s teenage daughter Georgina. Mr Phillips’s half-sister Stephanie, who was a bridesmaid at his first wedding, is also reported to be joining the congregation.
The couple were guests of Charles and Camilla at Royal Ascot in June, and invited to take part in the traditional carriage procession the royal family make on to the famous Berkshire racecourse to signal the start of the day.
The wedding falls on the same day as the Epsom Derby, with the King and Queen set to dash from the ceremony to the racecourse, ready to watch the highlight of the racing season and present the trophy to the winner.
