Eagle-eyed watch spectators may have noticed that Wimbledon 2023 men’s singles final champion Carlos Alcaraz made sure he slipped on a watch before collecting his trophy from Catherine, Princess of Wales. The watch Carlos Alcaraz wore was by Rolex and the No.1 seed reportedly became the youngest players to sign a deal with the Swiss watch brand when he was just 18 years of age.

As for which Rolex Carlos wore, according to Fratello Watches, “At this year’s press conference before the tournament, Alcaraz could be seen wearing a remarkable bucket hat on his head and a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona on his wrist. The specific model was the new Everose gold ref.126515LN with the “Sunset” dial and black sub-dials on an Oysterflex bracelet.”

In 2022, GQ Australia reported that “The Cosmograph Daytona is one of Rolex’s most iconic watches. Made famous by Rolex enthusiast, actor and occasional race car driver Paul Newman. It’s the most highly demanded of Rolex’s watches and on the secondary market, and historical iterations have commanded record fees at auction houses across the globe.”

It would be a massive understatement to say that Carlos Alcaraz must be feeling elated after winning his first Wimbledon men’s singles final against Novak Djokovic. He is undoubtedly the new King of Centre Court.

The Wimbledon 2023 men’s singles final was not only watched by the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as two of their three children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but also by a host of A-list stars. The celebrities who were in attendance included Brad Pitt, Ariana Grande, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz was not only supported by his team, but also by King Felipe V1 of Spain who was in the Royal Box, cheering him to victory. When he won the Madrid Open last year, the King of Spain is said to have taken a keen interest in Carlos’s career.
