Arsenal and Manchester City 'monitoring' young Serie A playmaker who revived his career
After a promising youth career at Club Brugge, attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere had a tough time upon moving to the Serie A, struggling to nail down his position for AC Milan. But after moving to Atalanta, the 23-year-old is back on everyone’s radar.
According to CaughtOffside, some of the Premier League’s top clubs are now monitoring his progress - and may line up a transfer bid further down the line. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be a big fan of De Ketelaere, while both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have also reportedly been scouting him. With so many eyes on him, the Gunners are believed to be weighing up whether or not to ramp up their interest.

But despite fierce competition for the Belgian’s services, Atalanta may be reluctant to let him go, especially after losing Teun Koopmeiners in the summer and other clubs keeping tabs on Ederson too. West Ham could also make an outside bid for the attacking midfielder, should they lose either Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus in the January transfer window.
Should Arsenal lose out of De Ketelaere, they may chase after Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov instead.
Ex-Liverpool star’s contract terminated
There was a time when Ryan Kent looked like one of the most promising talents at Liverpool’s academy, coming through the ranks at a similar time to the likes of Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe. While he never got his shot at Anfield, he did make a name for himself under Steven Gerrard at Rangers, before moving to Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig.
But now, the 27-year-old is looking for a new club, with his contract being terminated after he fell down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho. The club attempted to offload him in the January transfer window, but to no avail.

A statement from Fenerbahce said: “The contract with Ryan Kent has been terminated by mutual agreement.”
While he likely won’t get another shot with a top Premier League side, Kent would make a valuable addition to a side like Ipswich or Everton, where some additional firepower on the wings is desperately needed. With the speed of a lightning bolt down the wing, partnering him up with someone like Liam Delap would be an exciting prospect.
