Scotland are set to take on Poland in an international friendly this week after the ongoing conflict in Ukraine meant their scheduled World Cup qualifying play-off was postponed.

The Poles were due to take on Russia in their own play-off this week, but that match was scrapped and now the two nations will test themselves in an exhibition at Hampden Park.

Steve Clarke is using the opportunity to cast an eye over some new faces with five uncapped players in his squad, as they prepare for that all important clash with Ukraine which is currently scheduled for June.

Scotland’s international friendly with Poland will be played on Thursday, March 24 2022.

The game is being played at Hampden Park and is scheduled for a 19:45 GMT kick-off.

For every ticket sold, £10 will be donated to UNICEF UK’s emergency appeal for Ukraine, and supporters will have the opportunity to make an additional donation if they wish during the ticket purchase process, with a special donate button on the web page directing to UNICEF UK’s appeal.

Draws have been the most common results when the two nations have met in the past.

2015 was the last time they faced off, that was in qualifying for UEFA Euro 2016 and the result was a 2-2 draw at Hampden.
