Scotland are set to take on Poland in an international friendly this week after the ongoing conflict in Ukraine meant their scheduled World Cup qualifying play-off was postponed.
The Poles were due to take on Russia in their own play-off this week, but that match was scrapped and now the two nations will test themselves in an exhibition at Hampden Park.

Hide AdSteve Clarke is using the opportunity to cast an eye over some new faces with five uncapped players in his squad, as they prepare for that all important clash with Ukraine which is currently scheduled for June.

Scotland’s international friendly with Poland will be played on Thursday, March 24 2022.
The game is being played at Hampden Park and is scheduled for a 19:45 GMT kick-off.

Tickets for the match are currently on general sale and can be purchased through the Scottish FA’s official website.
For every ticket sold, £10 will be donated to UNICEF UK’s emergency appeal for Ukraine, and supporters will have the opportunity to make an additional donation if they wish during the ticket purchase process, with a special donate button on the web page directing to UNICEF UK’s appeal.

Steve Clarke has given first call-ups to Hearts defender Craig Halkett and Sunderland striker Ross Stewart.
Goalkeepers Liam Kelly and Zander Clark also have a chance of winning their first caps, as does 19-year old left-back Aaron Hickey who plays for Serie A side Bolonga.

Draws have been the most common results when the two nations have met in the past.
2015 was the last time they faced off, that was in qualifying for UEFA Euro 2016 and the result was a 2-2 draw at Hampden.
Scotland had travelled to Poland earlier in qualifying and that match also ended in a 2-2 draw.
Their first meeting was in 1958 and the two nations have played each other ten times with Scotland winning two, Poland winning three and the other five meetings ending all square.

The bookmakers see this one as almost too close to call, but Scotland are the slight favourites due to their home advantage.
Steve Clarke’s side are priced at 7/5 while Poland are only slightly longer odds at 15/8.
