Wales and Belarus do battle once more after their dramatic meeting in Kazan in early September.

Gareth Bale scored a hat-trick, including a stoppage time winner after the Red Dragons had fallen behind, having initially taken the lead.

Bale himself is the man of the moment as he could be in line to make his 100th appearance for his country, becoming just the second male player to do so.

Rob Page’s men currently sit third in Group D but have been assured of a play-off spot through their Nations League finish.

There is still all to play for Wales though who will want to finish in second to put themselves in position for a home play-off come March.

Belarus arrive in South Wales as the team bottom of the group and have earned just three points in qualifying, with a win over Estonia.

In the six meetings between the two sides, Wales have come out on top on five occasions but will hope to avoid defeat like they did in the early 2000s.

As usual, the match will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium, which is the designated stadium for the Welsh national team.

How to watch Wales v Belarus

The match will be available on two channels and in two languages. Coverage will begin on Sky Sports Football at 7:00 pm, but if you aren’t subscribed to that channel it’ll also be available on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

An alternative option is to watch the match with Welsh punditry and commentary on S4C, which is on terrestrial television. If you want to tune in for pre-match talk, that will begin at 7.15 pm.

What is the team news?

Rob Page announced a 27-man squad in early November and fortunately there aren’t as many issues to deal with.

The holy trilogy of Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale and Joe Allen could all play a part on Saturday night.

Bale hasn’t played a match since picking up a hamstring injury in September but is hoping to play a part tomorrow, that is likely to come from the bench however.

One absentee is Kieffer Moore who will sit out of this match after picking up a second booking of the campaign against Estonia. The Cardiff City forward has recently rediscovered his club form which saw him get 20 goals last season, as well as a goal in this summer’s European Championships.

It could prompt a change in attack with Dan James or Harry Wilson capable of filling in to lead the line, though Leeds United’s Tyler Roberts has had experience of playing up front.

Elsewhere, Ben Cabango and Dylan Levitt both withdrew from the squad earlier in the week but no replacements were named.

In terms of who is missing for Belarus, Dinamo Minsk midfielder Artyom Bykov will miss their final game as he serves a one-match ban.

One player to watch out for is Vitali Lisakovich, who has been involved in four out of Belarus’ six goals in qualifying, including his penalty against Wales.

Wales v Belarus match predictions

This is a potential banana skin for Wales as Belarus are playing for pride. They will want to avoid finishing bottom of the group.

Belarus proved a tough task in September and given how Bale won’t be at peak fitness, there’s a hope that his teammates can step up to avoid him doing any strenuous work ahead of Tuesday’s match with Belgium.

Wales aren’t a team that have blown many teams away, so this should be expected to be a tight game with Page’s men winning 2-0.
