When are the Premier League 2021/22 fixtures released?

All 380 Premier League fixtures for the 2021/22 season will be released at 9am on Wednesday 16 June 2021.

Details of each fixture will be revealed via the Premier League's official media channels, as fans plot their weekends from August to May.

Supporters will discover who their team will face on opening day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Easter and on the final day of the season, among other dates.

Blockbuster matches between the Premier League's heavyweights Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and others will also attract attention.

Fans will be well aware by now that all fixtures are subject to change due to potential clashes with cup competitions and broadcasting.

When does the 2021/22 Premier League season start?

Just days after the conclusion of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, the organisers of English football's top flight announced the start and end dates of the next season.

The 2021/22 Premier League season will begin on Saturday 14 August - less than five weeks after the Euro 2020 final at Wembley on Sunday 11 July.

The 2021/22 Premier League season will end with all final day fixtures kicking off at the same time on Sunday 22 May 2022, the league's shareholders have agreed.

Who is favourite to win the Premier League 2021/22?

The top four teams of the 2020/21 Premier League season are among the favourites to claim the 2021/22 title, with many of the online bookies.

Champions Manchester City are the frontrunners to clinch the 21/22 Premier League crown at 4/6, followed by Chelsea at 5/1, Liverpool 11/2 and Manchester United at 9/1.

FA Cup winners Leicester City are 50/1 to win a second Premier League title, with Tottenham Hotspur 40/1 and Arsenal 80/1 to claim the crown from Man City.

The Premier League recently announced a new TV broadcast deal with its partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and BBC Sport to show 200 live games in 2021/22.

The £4.7b deal was a rollover of the current agreement in place between the Premier League and broadcasters after the government agreed to the private sale amid the Covid pandemic.

The three-year agreement means the Premier League can fulfil its planned £1.5b commitment to the football pyramid at a time when many clubs have faced financial hardship.
