Will Daniel Farke keep his job as Leeds United manager as form at Elland Road turns a corner?

Leeds United’s owners may have to rethink their plan to get rid of manager Daniel Farke.

According to multiple sources, the 49ers - the company that owns the Premier League side - had planned to get rid of Farke before the end of the calendar year, regardless of results.

This was under the assumption that, amid a difficult fixture run, Leeds would inevitably lose to both Chelsea and Liverpool. Instead, there has been a remarkable uptick in form by the Elland Road outfit.

Chelsea were dispatched 3-1 at home, which was followed up by a thrilling 3-3 draw to Liverpool last weekend. An away trip to Brentford now beckons, before another home game against Crystal Palace.

Now, despite Farke still being tipped for the sack, many are urging the club’s owners to head back to the drawing board before sending out the German’s P45.

Speaking on Sky Sports, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville said: “I don’t know how much attention we can pay to the rumours of the manager being close to the edge.

“That will have pulled him right back. If you’re in the boardroom, you’re thinking, okay, let’s just hang back.

“If you had plans, you may have to cancel them. That might not be the case, but there was a lot of noise and a lot of rumours. Well done to Daniel Farke, because he’s played a big part in it.”

Leeds United are currently 16th in the Premier League, two points clear of the relegation zone.
