The action at Aintree got underway on Thursday, and will continue across the weekend, culminating with the 40-horse showpiece race at 5.15pm on Saturday.

Early favourites to win the esteemed contest include Snow Leopardess, jockeyed by Aiden Coleman, as well as Any Second Now and Delta Work, who will be rode by M.P. Walsh and J.W. Kennedy respectively.

Other notable participants include Minella Times, with Rachael Blackmore set to take the reins once more. The duo made history last year when Blackmore rode the Irish Thoroughbred to victory, becoming the first female jockey in history to achieve the feat.

The drama is set to be sky high, but for those who want to up the ante even further with a flutter among their friends, family, or colleagues, we’ve included a handy printout sweepstake kit at the bottom of this article.

Keep an eye on the starting line, however. While a maximum of 40 runners are permitted to line up in the race, any late withdrawals will mean horses outside of the list above could be allowed to run instead.
