Watch: Six Nations 2022 preview with each team’s title chances assessed

Our sports team discuss England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy’s title chances as Rugby’s Greatest Championship returns this weekend.

The 2022 Six Nations Championship kicks off this weekend and it’s expected to be one of the most open and competitive competitions in years.

France are the pre-tournament favourites but England and Ireland will look to put in their own challenges.

Meanwhile, hopes are high in Scotland that they can achieve something special and it’s certain that Wales wont relinquish the trophy without a fight.

What about Italy? They surely wont be able to mount a title challenge but need to show improvement after so many disappointing collapses in recent years.

NationalWorld Sports Reporter Martyn Simpson and The Scotsman’s Chief Rugby Writer Graham Bean sat down to take a look at each team’s chances this year and what to expected as Rugby’s Greatest Championship returns for 2022.

You can watch them break down the tournament team by team and make their predictions for the Round 1 fixtures in the above video at the top of this article.
