Rafael Nadal progressed to the Australian Open men’s final on Friday as he claimed a 6-3 6-2 3-6 6-3 win over Italy’s Matteo Berrettini.

The Spaniard is now within touching distance of a record 21st Grand Slam men’s title as he takes on Daniil Medvedev in this year’s final.

The Russian is hoping for his second successive Grand Slam title after US open victory in September.

Medvedev lost out in last year’s Australian Open final to Novak Djokovic and will be eager to go one step further this time round.

When is the Australian Open 2022 men’s final?

Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev will compete in the Australian Open men’s final on Sunday 30th January 2022.

Players will be on the court shortly after 8.30am BST and the match will get underway after the warm-up.

Eurosport has the broadcasting rights to all live action in the Australian Open.
