The 2022 Six Nations Championship returns this weekend with three more fantastic fixtures.

France are starting to prove why they were the pre-tournament favourites and managed to handle Ireland throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them in Round Two to hold on for a 30-24 victory.

They head to Edinburgh this weekend to face Scotland, who have had their confidence dented by a crushing 20-17 defeat to Wales in Cardiff, but will be looking to bounce back as it’s do or die in their title bid.

That victory over Scotland was the first for Wales this year and England also got their first win as they beat Italy 33-0 in Rome, the two bitter rivals go head-to-head at Twickenham in the second clash of the weekend.

Finally, it looks for all the world that Ireland will bounce back from their defeat in Paris and should comfortably brush aside Italy but the Azzurri could yet spring a surprise... however unlikely that may seem.

NationalWorld Sports Reporter Martyn Simpson and the Sunderland Echo’s James Copley sat down to discuss the Round Three fixtures and give their opinions on what each team should expect from their next match.
