Fans of Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso are hoping that he will not be left with a ‘Blank Space’ when racing this weekend in the Baku Grand Prix following a hectic couple of weeks making headlines alongside Taylor Swift.

The Spanish F1 driver was first linked with the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer earlier this month when gossip site DeuxMoi received a tip from Spanish press stating that the pair had been spending time together after their respective relationships came to an end.

While Swifties were devastated that Taylor had parted ways from long-term partner Joe Alwyn after six years together, they were sent into hysterics when the 33-year-old singer was said to be secretly dating the 41-year-old two-time World Champion.

The hysteria was not helped when Fernando, who has previously labelled himself the ‘Anti-Hero’ of his sport, added fuel to the fire by posting a TikTok winking at the camera to Taylor Swift’s song ‘Karma’.

However could Fernando’s cheeky behaviour and connection to Taylor be his bad ‘karma’ as he looks to set his fourth consecutive podium in Azerbaijan this weekend?

We all know the ‘power of the Swifties’ as seen by Taylor Swift’s fans launching an antitrust investigation between the Justice Department and Ticketmaster after they failed to stop bots selling out pre-sale tickets for The Eras Tour.

Not only this but any man linked to Taylor Swift has come under immense pressure and scrutiny from the media exemplified by Jake Gyllenhaal or John Mayer.

Therefore, will this dazzling spotlight hinder Fernando after his stellar start to the F1 calendar? If the rumours are true, will his new love blind him from clinching a win or podium?

After qualifying today, the Spanish Aston Martin driver lines up in sixth behind Lewis Hamilton while Charles LeClerc leads Max Verstappen for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
