Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has confirmed he will not be starring in any future films in the Fast and Furious franchise.

Why will Dwayne Johnson not be appearing in any more Fast and Furious films?

Johnson made his debut in the successful action adventure franchise back in 2011’s Fast Five, playing the role of bounty hunter Luke Hobbs.

He then reprised his role for two more Fast and Furious films, this being Fast and Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious.

He also fronted the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw alongside Jason Statham.

However, Johnson recently confirmed that he will not be starring in any further Fast and Furious films.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter he said: "I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast and Furious movies they do that will be without me."

What is the feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel?

Johnson reportedly became embroiled in a feud with co-star Vin Diesel during his time on the Fast and Furious movies, although it was claimed they had reconciled and made amends back in 2019.

Their turbulent relationship was said to have first began in 2011, when Diesel was reportedly irked by Johnson’s acting skills.

The actor recently claimed that he was giving The Rock “a lot of tough love” to get his performance "where it needed to be", alleging that it took a lot of work to get Johnson.

In The Hollywood Reporter interview Johnson also responded to Diesel’s comments.

He said: "I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I'll leave it at that. And that I've wished them well.”

During the interview, Johnson’s Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt also quipped: “Just thank God [Diesel] was there. Thank God. He carried you through that.”
