Actress Olivia Munn welcomes second child amid breast cancer battle

Actress welcomes baby daughter a year after breast cancer diagnosis.
X-Men Apocalypse actress Olivia Munn has welcomed a baby girl via surrogate one year after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The actress,44, and actor husband John Mulaney took to Instagram to share their happy news.
The couple shared a picture of themselves with their bundle of joy and wrote the caption: “Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon.
“I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.
“I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded. Méi (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese.”
The couple have been dating since 2021, got married two years later and share two-year-old son Malcolm.
In March Olivia Munn revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023. The actress has since had four surgeries including a double mastectomy and hysterectomy - with the treatment putting her into medically induced menopause.
In an interview with Good Morning America, the actress explained that she had previously frozen her eggs and undergone egg retrieval in the hopes of expanding her family.
