Brandi Glanville reveals severe burns on her face as she continues to try to get rid of her 'facial parasite'

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, aged 52, has been suffering with a mysterious health issue for almost two years, since summer 2023.

She first noticed at that time that there was fluid under the skin on her face and it was swelling. After being left unable to speak or eat, she was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed with angioedema. This is a condition where parts of the body have sudden swelling that is often caused by an allergic reaction, according to the NHS.

But, the reality TV star came to suspectsher symptoms are really caused by a facial parasite. So, for months, she’s since been trying to find ways to remove the alleged parasite, despite there being no medical evidence that is what is causing her health issue. In April, she said she wants to 'get scalpel and cut face open'.

Posting on TikTok, Brandi filmed herself with chemical burns on her face, which she said were a result of trying to remove the supposed parasite from her face, which she’s now named Caroline, by using hair removal cream. She said she had done this because she realised it “p***ed Caroline off”.

Speaking directly to the camera, she told her 58,000 fans: “I know I look attractive. . . Good news. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on peels and lasers anymore,” she joked, refering the fact her skin had obviously peeled off.

She explained that she had applied hair removal cream to the bottom half of her face to try and exfoliate her skin and upset the parasite in the process. Giving a specific brand name, she said “[it] is the fountain of youth. But I overdid it.”

In the caption, she wrote: “I did 7 minutes and I'm on fire soooo don't do 7 minutes. It also burned the loose skin off my arms.” She added that she was in “some pain”.

Brand previously told Daily Mail that she has consulted several specialists in an attempt to get a proper diagnosis and treatment; an immunologist, an infectious disease doctor, a rheumatologist and an ENT specialist. She also asked Doctor Terry Dubrow, the host of TV show Botched, to perform the four biopsies on her face.

The famous plastic surgeon allegedly told her he “didn't find anything” under her skin and suggested the swelling could be due to either a fungal infection or a reaction to “something she'd had injected”, such as cosmetic filler.

Brandi was also prescribed intravenous antibiotics and antifungal medication which seemed to help, but she said she couldn’t afford to stay on them.

The TV star has also recently credited her two sons, 22-year-old Mason, and Jake, aged 18, who she shares with her ex-husband actor Eddie Cibrian, for helping her to remain positive as her health battle continues. “If it wasn't for my sons, I'd be in a straitjacket,” she said. “I don't know where I would be. They are the reason I live. They're my joy, my happiness, my everything.”
