Celebrity Big Brother: Everything you need to know about Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton's uncle

Celebrity Big Brother launched on Monday evening and with all the celebrities in the house it looks like it will be another scandalous series. AJ Odudu and Will Best hosted the ITV1 series which saw Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Gary Goldsmith as part of this year’s lineup. We take a closer look at Gary Goldsmith who is Catherine, Princess of Wales’ uncle. 

Following Monday night's [March 4] episode Gary Goldsmith, 58, is already at risk of being evicted from the house as he was put in the ‘ring of fire’ by Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh along with fellow housemates David Potts and Zeze Millz. 

According to BetVictor Casino data from X (formerly known as Twitter) since the first Celebrity Big Brother episode launched last night, Goldsmith has received the highest amount of negative social sentiment with a whopping 51% - significantly higher than any of the other housemates. Goldsmith, who is already at risk of eviction this week, is now a long shot at 14/1 to win the show.

What is Gary Goldsmith famous for?

Gary Goldsmith is pretty much famous for being Kate Middleton's uncle and her siblings Pippa Matthews and James Middleton. He is the younger brother of her mother Carole Middleton and was a guest at the wedding of his niece and Prince William in 2011. 

Gary Goldsmith lives in Ibiza and is a businessman who made most of his money in recruitment. Before entering the house he told The Sun that Prince Harry threw his niece under the bus. He explained “Kate is 100 percent not racist, neither is Carole. My family is not racist and for Kate to be portrayed as that is just so far removed from the truth, it’s ridiculous.”

Is Gary Goldsmith married and does he have any children? 

Gary Goldsmith has reportedly been married four times, and has one daughter, Tallulah who he shares with his second wife, Luan. In 2017 BBC News reported that Gary Goldsmith was charged with assault after being found guilty of assaulting his fourth wife during a "drunken argument" he was fined £5,000.
