Coronation Street News: Helen Flanagan sparks rumours of soap return six years after leaving
The Coronation Street actress, 33, recently shared a slew of nostalgic snaps of herself as Rosie Webster in the ITV soap. Taking to Instagram Helen shared five throwback snaps with the caption: “Some iconic Rosie moments”
Corrie co-stars were quick to comment on the post including on-screen mum Sally Dynever who wrote: “Love this” and Jack P Shepherd who plays David Platt in the soap fuelled the rumours when he wrote: “She shall be back.”

Hide AdFlanagan took on the role of Rosie Webster in 2000. She is the eldest daughter of Sally Webster (Sally Dynever) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and sister to Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent). Helen left the role in 2012 she returned to the role in 2017, before going on maternity leave a year later and hasn't been back since.
Fans are desperate to see both Flanagan and Vincent reprise their roles as Rosie and Sophie. Brooke, who has played Sophie since 2004, also left to go on maternity leave in 2019. If Rosie comes back surely her sister will have to as well.... come on Corrie writers bring them back.
The actress is currently filming for the E4 dating show ‘Celebs Go Dating’ after she split from her ex-husband Bristol Rovers footballer Scott Sinclair, with whom she shares three children. The couple were married from 2009 to 2022.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
