Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have announced their divorce after 14 years of marriage. GB News host Holmes and Loose Women regular Langsford, both 64, tied the knot in 2010.

The couple presented flagship ITV daytime show This Morning together but left the show in 2021. They were also co-hosts of Channel 5 shows How The Other Half Lives, Do The Right Thing With Eamonn And Ruth, plus Eamonn And Ruth's 7-Year Itch.

The news comes just days after Ruth spoke about her husband’s chronic pain condition to Women’s Weekly. She said: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.

“I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100 per cent right.”

Ruth added: “With any care situation - and there are millions of carers in this country - it isn't always easy but if something happens to somebody you love, you help them as much as you can. It's testing but we manage as a family.”

Eamonn sporadically posts on social media but sparked conversations recently after posting an image of himself and close friend Linda Lusardi to Instagram recently. In the post he said: "1982 v 2024 and she hasn’t changed a bit. My wonderful, close friend Linda Lusardi who I went to see today. 42-year friendship."

Fans questioned why he wasn’t posting about his wife and speculated the status of their marriage, after rumours of a split between the two circulated. It came after he shared another family snap without Ruth in the picture, while other noted that the pair hadn’t been seen in public for some time.

A spokesperson for the pair has now confirmed "they are in the process of divorcing". They have one son, Jack, who was born in 2002, while Holmes also has three children - Declan, Rebecca and Niall - from his first marriage.
