Lauren Goodger in talks for her own reality show but she could be set to leave The Only Way is Essex for good
Lauren Goodger is in talks for very own BBC reality show - but this means she may have to leave The Only Way is Essex.
The 37-year-old has been a familiar face on the long-running reality show since it launched back in 2010. She was one of the original stars of the series, and has previouisly taken an extended break, but now she may have to leave it behind for good.

Goodger first quit the show in 2012, but returned to make brief appearances in 2015 and 2016. She then made a full-time return to the beloved show earlier this year. Now, however, the TV personality may soon be fronting her own reality show as insiders have revealed to The Sun she's in talks to do just that.
A source told the publication: "It would be all about her rebuilding her life after losing a baby, coping as a single mum and high profile break-ups. It would be much more real and not glossy or staged like aspects of TOWIE are.”
But, they also said it could lead to her stepping away from TOWIE. “If she does it, it could spell the end of her time on TOWIE. But at this stage discussions are still on the table and her future on the ITVBe show is up in the air."
Goodger’s relationship with Mark Wright was one of the main focuses of TOWIE when it first started. The pair dated for more than ten years, and even became engaged in 2011. Their engagement only lasted five months, however, and they had a very public break-up in 2012 that was also documented on the reality series.
Later the same year, she met Jake McLean, who also went on to be a TOWIE cast member. The pair dated on-and-off for around four years. McLean was killed at the age of 33 in a car accident while in Turkey in August 2022.
Goodger shares two-year-old daughter Larose with her ex-boyfriend Charles Drury. The pair started dating in 2020 and Larose was born in July 2021 then, just eight weeks after welcoming Larose, Goodger fell pregnant again. The couple split in November 2021.
Goodger was left "broken" after she lost their second daughter Lorena in July 2022. In an emotional Instagram post at the time, she said: "She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x. Words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me."
Goodger has also spoken out about her relationship with Drury, and has said the former couple have remained friends after going through so much pain together. She said: “It has not been easy, but we're at a place at the minute where it is running smoothly. Charles sees Larose very regularly. . . We're at a good place. We're friends. We're making it work because the priority is Larose. She sees us both equally, and that's what I don't want to change. Regardless of the situation of our relationship, I would never stop her seeing her dad.”
Goodger previously revealed it was her little girl who inspired her to return to reality TV. She told new! magazine: "All my friends have got jobs and work - most mums do - and I want Larose to see that I've got a job too. I wasn't nervous because TOWIE's sort of my home, but I've been in a mum bubble so the first day of filming was a complete shock. It's like driving a car though. You might not do it for 10 years, but hen you get back in the driver's seat and pick it straight back up."
