It’s not long until Death in Paradise series 11 begins.
The much-loved mystery drama is set to return on Friday 7 January at 9pm on BBC One.

What is Death in Paradise series 11 about?
Death in Paradise series 11 is promising some puzzling twists on their usual mystery drama format this year. The BBC has teased that this series will see a skydiver seemingly stabbed in mid-air, a murder on a golf course, a killer at a concert, and a mysterious case at a rehab clinic.
It’s also going to continue the will-they-won’t-they storyline between DI Neville Parker and DS Florence Cassell. In the Christmas special, Neville confessed his feelings to Florence – but series 11 sees her considering an undercover assignment on another island…
Who is in the cast of Death in Paradise series 11?
All of the usual cast of Death in Paradise will appear in Series 11, with Ralf Little (The Royle Family) appearing as DI Neville Parker, Josephine Jobert (Avenue 5) as DS Florence Cassell, Don Warrington (Rising Damp) as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, and Tahj Miles (Small Axe) as Trainee Officer Marlon Pryce amongst others.
Series 11 will also introduce a new character new character to team: Sergeant Naomi Thomas, played by as Shantol Jackson. You might recognise Jackson from films such as Sprinter and Yardie.
The BBC have also hinted that a familiar face from previous seasons might return, though that could be anyone from Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) to Ruby Patterson (Shyko Amos).
In terms of guest stars, Death in Paradise series 11 will see Tamzin Outhwaite (Eastenders), Jason Done (Waterloo Road) Ben Onwukwe (London’s Burning) and Ben Starr (Jamestown) amongst others spend some time on the island.
Kate O’Flynn will also appear as Izzy, DI Neville Parker’s sister.

Death in Paradise series 11 will begin on BBC One on Friday 7th January at 9pm.
A twelfth series has also been confirmed, due to air in 2023.
Where is Death in Paradise filmed?
Death in Paradise is set in the Caribbean island Saint Marie.
This island, however, is fictional, and the series itself is filmed in Guadeloupe.
