Who are Ronan Keating's family and siblings after older brother dies in tragic car crash?

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating is believed to have returned home to Ireland following the death of his older brother Ciaran Keating, who died after a car crash on Saturday. The singer, 46, from Dublin is said to be “trying to stay strong for the sake of his family” according to the Mirror.

Ciaran, 53, a car salesman, was travelling with wife Ann Marie to watch son Ruairí play football for Cork City FC. Ann Marie was taken to Mayo University Hospital to be treated for her non life-threatening injuries. The Cork football club said on Twitter that it was "deeply saddened at the passing of Ciaran Keating”. 

Ronan is the youngest of five siblings and has five children of his own. His father is Gerry Keating a former lorry driver and mother was Marie Keating who sadly died from breast cancer in 1998. 

The family launched the Marie Keating Foundation in honour of their mother a few years later and it is the one of the largest national cancer charities in Ireland. The chart-topping’s only sister Linda Keating is the director of fundraising for the charity.  

On the anniversary of his mother’s death last year Ronan spoke openly on his Instagram stories, he said  “It's heart-breaking that she never got to meet them. I wonder about the conversation I'd have with my mum today, about my children, about my life.” He added “So many things in the 24 years that I've been through and I've done that I'd love to share with mum."

Brother Gary Keating is a Managing director of GK Events an Irish Event Management and PR company. Gary is married to Val and according to his Twitter is a keen golfer. Gerard Keating works as a stockbroker and has previously been described by his brother Ronan as 'the brain' of his family.

Ronan has three children with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly; Missy Keating, Jack Keating, Ali Keating and two with wife Storm; Cooper and Coco Knox. His eldest son Jack appeared on Love Island in 2022 and made Ronan a grandfather for the first time after welcoming a baby girl in March this year.
