Two popular animated superhero shows are coming to Netflix over the next month as the platform raises its prices. The cost of a basic plan will go up by £1 per month, and a premium plan by £2 per month, with the standard plan staying the same.

But as the cost of a subscription will increase for millions of UK users, the offering of titles on the platform is also growing.

News that classic British comedies Peep Show and Fresh Meat had been saved from leaving the platform in September was a welcome surprise, and the addition of two popular shows in October and November will also be a hit with users.

Batman: The Animated Series, a classic 90s animation about the Dark Knight’s battle with crime in Gotham starring the late Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Mark Hamill in a memorable performance as villain The Joker, will be available to UK streamers soon.

The other superhero show coming to the platform is Justice League, about a team of seven of the most iconic DC heroes is a sort-of sequel to Batman, with Conroy and Hamill reprising their roles. This is everything you need to know ahead of both show's Netflix release:

Now Netflix has posted on X, formerly Twitter, that the full series will come to Netflix on Tuesday 21 November. When one user asked on X if the show was ‘actually’ coming this time, the official Netflix UK and Ireland account replied ‘We've never tweeted a date before, so I'd say so.’

The series originally aired on Fox Kids from 1992 to 1995, with 82 episodes released over four seasons. Classic villains featured in the show include The Joker, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, The Penguin, and many more.
