and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Poremba was paired with Laura Vaughan during the dating experiment in last year’s series. Their relationship didn’t exactly run smooth, but they did make it through to the final vows.
The show sees strangers matched by relationship experts and meet at the first time on their wedding day. They then embark on a fast-tracked relationship, which sees them move in together and carry out a number of tasks over a number of weeks. Those who decide to stay to the end of the experiment then have a final vows ceremony, where they decide if they will stay together in the outside world or not.

Now, a year after his partipation in the show, and while this year’s series is airing, Poremba has spoken to The Sun, and has revealed several details about his experience, including the fact that he knew his marriage was over before the final vows, how much he got paid to take part in the show, and his fling with another MAFS bride. Speaking about Vaughan’s decision to end their union, he said: “I didn’t have any heads up and was a little taken aback. The night before the vow renewal she messaged me saying ‘whatever happens tomorrow I want you to know I’ll always try to look after both of us’. I didn’t really make anything of it at the time but looking back, it was like ‘oh, I see why you messaged me that the night before now’.”
Going on to talk about how much he was paid to take part in the show, he said: “They (the producers) give you whatever you would have been paid at work, you have to prove what you earn so can’t say you make £10,000 a week.
“I think they have a maximum is probably around £1,200 to £1,300 a week. It's a good deal. You’re not working, getting everything paid for and staying in a beautiful apartment.”

He continued: “I didn’t have a clue she was going on the show. She didn’t say and we didn’t talk about MAFS, which was one of the things I liked about her.” Despite the reports, a representative for Kenyon denied that the pair had ever dated.
Kenyon is one of the brides taking part in this year’s series. She’s paired with Luke Worley, and scenes which are currently airing shows that the pair’s relationship is going well.
- Married at First Sight UK continues every Monday to Thursday on E4 at 9pm.
