Pam and Tommy: cast with Lily James as Pamela Anderson, movie trailer and Disney Plus UK release date

Last year, pictures from the set of Pam & Tommy went viral, showcasing Sebastian Stan and Lily James as almost unrecognisable as Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.

This is everything you need to know about Pam & Tommy, including if when it will be available for streaming in the UK.

What is Pam & Tommy about?

Pam & Tommy tells the true story of how Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee’s sex tape was stolen and subsequently released to the public.

The eight part series will explore the relationship between the two, who famously got married in 1995 less than a week after they first met. The sex tape was made during their honeymoon and stolen by Rand Gauthier.

Gauthier, a former porn actor turned electrician, got his hands on the tape after installing a studio and security system for Lee.

Following the theft of the tape, Anderson sued video distribution company Internet Entertainment Group (IEG). Lee’s family eventually entered into an agreement with IEG, which allowed for the sex tape to be made available to subscribers of its websites.

The couple remained together for three years before divorcing in 1998.

The trailer for the series shows two characters looking for the scandalous clip on a video camera.

One says to the other: “It’s like we’re seeing something we’re not supposed to be seeing.

“Which is kind of what makes it so hot.”

Who is in the cast?

Lily James is stepping into the role as Pamela Anderson. You may recognise her from starring in the likes of The Pursuit of Love, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, War & Peace, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Downton Abbey.

Alongside James is Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee, who is best known for playing the role of Bucky Barnes in the Avengers franchise. Stan has also appeared in films and TV shows such as The Devil All The Time, I, Tonya, Logan Lucky and The Martian.

Robert Siegel is the creator behind Pam & Tommy, and he has written films like The Wrestler, The Founder and Cruise.

Seth Rogen is also a producer for the limited series, and is set to appear in it as well as Rand Gauthier.

As well as acting in films and TV shows like Freaks and Geeks, Superbad and Pineapple Express, Rogen has also been a producer for a number of high profile projects, like The Boys, Invincible, Preacher, The Disaster Artist and Knocked Up.

When is Pam & Tommy out - and where to watch it?

UK viewers will able to watch the limited series on Star via Disney Plus.

It is set to be released on 2 February 2022, the same date it’ll be released in the US on Hulu.

The first three episodes will all drop at the same time, with the subsequent five episodes being released once a week thereafter.
