Soap legend Ross Kemp spotted leaving EastEnders set ahead of 40th anniversary special

EastEnders legend Ross Kemp appears to confirm he will be returning to the BBC One soap after he was recently spotted leaving the set. The actor, 60, is best known for playing Grant Mitchell in the soap from 1990 to 1999.
Ross Kemp made a brief return in 2005 and more recently in 2016 for the funeral of his and brother Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) mother Peggy Mitchell's (Barbra Windsor) over eight years ago.

Hide AdIn photographs obtained by the Mail Online the actor was seen on Thursday leaving the production set in a car with dark tinted windows appearing to ‘confirm’ his return.
Fans have begged writers to bring Ross Kemp back and it looks as though he will return for the 40th anniversary special in February. However, back in September it was reported that the actor turned documentary maker would return to Albert Square to present a one-off documentary about the soap to mark the occasion.
In an interview with This Morning Ross Kemp told Alison Hammond “'I can tell you nothing,' before adding: 'I am very proud of the show celebrating 40 years and I wouldn’t have had a career, good or bad without it.”
EastEnders is going live for one episode only as will let the public decide the fate of the storyline for the first time in honour of its 40th anniversary.For the show's anniversary, the week will feature an exciting twist and include an interactive element to show and potentially break the fourth wall.
