Comedian Joe Lycett returns to front season 11 of light-hearted comedy travel show Travel Man: 48 Hours In… Shot at different destinations across Europe, Joe will be joined by a different celebrity guest, who by coincidence have all previously taken part in gameshow Taskmaster. With 48 hours at each destination, Joe and co. will have a busy weekend break at each city. This is what we know about season 11 of Travel Man so far:

What is Travel Man about?

Travel Man is a comedy series originally hosted by Richard Ayoade and now fronted by Joe Lycett. The show sees Joe visit different countries, spending 48 hours at each destination with a different celebrity guest. Together, they will try to fit in as much fun and culture as possible, with just two days to tick as much as they can off their list.

Where is Travel Man season 11 filmed?

The first episode of the series takes place in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, where Joe and Sarah take off on a hot air balloon tour of the city from above. Next they partake in Lithuanian cuisine, trying cold beetroot soup and cepelini dumplings followed by a drink of gira. The pair also explore the city’s medieval centre on a walking tour that includes a stop at Gediminas’s tower and Lukiskes Prison.

In episode two, Joe is joined by Mawaan Rizwan in Dublin, Ireland. There, they hunt for 10 statues with QR codes attached - on scanning the codes they hear from figures who lived in the city including Oscar Wilde and Molly Malone. Later they head off to Dublin’s smallest restaurant before exploring the Guinness Storehouse and have a go at pouring their own pint. On the second day they take a dip in Forty Foot before recording a track at  Windmill Lane Studios.

The third episode of the series sees Joe and Roisin visit Salzburg where they take in a horse-and-carriage tour of the city, have a grub crawl at three different restaurants. For episode four, Joe and Asim visit Marseille. There they try out skateboarding at an abandoned tobacco factory, visit the Tunnel of 1,000 signs, and an underwater museum.

When is Travel Man season 11 on TV?

Season 11 of Travel Man will begin airing on Channel 4 on Friday 13 January at 8.30pm. Episodes are half an hour long and will air at the same time weekly. Episodes will be available to watch on All 4 shortly after they have first aired.
