What is the show about?

Leaving their day jobs behind, members of the public will be transformed into their most beloved music star for one night only. But they won’t be on stage alone.

Instead, they’ll be teaming up as trios who all share the same love of a music icon to give the performance of a lifetime.

An expert glam team will oversee their extraordinary transformations.

Each show there will be four teams of three. They will sing one song as their icon, with each team member singing their own section of the song. It’s then up to the judges to decide which team stood out for them.

Who is in it?

Former X Factor star and Troublemaker singer Olly Murs hosts Starstruck. The panel is made up of singer Beverley Knight, comedian Jason Manford, actress Sheridan Smith and Queen’s Adam Lambert.

Speaking about the format of the show Olly said: “When you see it on stage for the first time, it’s incredible. I’m sitting and watching it at the side of the stage and in the same way the viewers will be and I was thinking ‘But he looks like the person, but the one in the middle dances more like them and then the one on the end is the full package!”

“You could have three Lady Gagas on stage in all different outfits from different parts of her career. What I particularly love about this show is the modernisation of it.

“The format’s modern but also the icons are modern it’s not just all the old classics, you’ve also got new artists like Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish that are out right now having hits and success. I think it’s really good that there’s a nice balance between the old and the new.”

Giving some advice to the contestants he said: “My advice is to go out there and enjoy it, make sure you rehearse really hard, come out and enjoy it, just have some fun. That’s what it’s all about. I’ve got to say all of them have been impressive and not one of them has shown any nerves. They are all great performers and they love it. “

How can I watch it?

The first episode of the show will air on ITV and ITV hub on Saturday 12 February.

It will run from 8.30pm - 9.40pm.
