The Good Karma Hospital is back for a fourth series, but where is the TV show filmed and who is in the cast?

Where is The Good Karma Hospital filmed?

The Good Karma Hospital is set in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

However, the show is instead filmed in and around the city of Galle in the south of Sri Lanka.

Other filming locations in the show include Unawatuna, which is a coastal town in the suburbs of Galle and is a popular tourist location.

Behind Unawatuna beach there is a teacher training college, which forms the set of the hospital which features in the series.

Weligama, a town located in Matara District in southern Sri Lanka, also features in the show, as does the town of Hikkuduwa.

How much does it cost to stay in Galle and Unawatuna?

Who is in the cast of the Good Karma Hospital?

Amanda Redman, Amrita Acharia, Neil Morrissey and Darshan Jariwala are all returning for season 4 of The Good Karma Hospital.

There’s also a number of new faces in the cast, including Harki Bhambra, who has previously starred in Our Girl and Call the Midwife.

The actor will plays a surgeon called Dr Samir Hasan in the new series.

Rebecca Ablack, who is known for starring in Ginny & Georgia and Let It Snow, joins the cast as another new doctor, Dr Nikita ‘Niki’ Sharma.

Every episode of the new series will feature a different guest star.

The fourth season of the show began on Sunday 23 January, with new episodes airing each Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
