A notice published on the ‘product recall’ section of the store’s website states that packs of Tesco Creamfields Grated Cheddar 500g with a best before date reading 23/03/23 may contain "small pieces of clear, soft plastic which could make the product unsafe to eat".
Any customers with this product at home have been advised to return it to any Tesco store, where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required for the refund to be processed.

Customers who have bought the product who have "an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents" have been asked not to consume the product and return it to their nearest Tesco for a full refund.
Earlier this month 250g packs of Wicked Kitchen Spinach & Wild Garlic Ravioli with a use by date of 12 January 2023 were also ordered for recall.
