Brit mum ships 8kg of clothes from UK to Australia for just £4 using clever Vinted ‘hack’
A British woman has revealed how she managed to send 8kg of her clothes from her wardrobe in the UK to Australia for just £4 using Vinted.
A BRITISH woman has revealed how she managed to ship a whopping 8kg of clothes from her wardrobe to Australia for just £4 — using a clever Vinted hack.

Beth Hackman, 25, moved around 10,000 miles from Windsor, Berkshire, to Sydney with her partner Nathan Riley, also 25, while travelling around the region in March 2026.
The physiotherapist arrived Down Under with just two large rucksacks packed with clothes — but soon realised she needed more outfits.
Rather than splash out on a whole new wardrobe or face a hefty international shipping bill, Beth turned to Vinted.
She downloaded the second-hand selling app to check what her mum, Mel Belsdon, 49, had listed back home. Mel was already an avid Vinted seller.
Then Beth spotted an unexpected bargain.
Vinted was offering free shipping from the UK as part of its launch in Australia, allowing Beth to send her own clothes thousands of miles without paying the usual delivery costs.
But there was one problem — Beth had to make sure nobody else snapped up her listings.
She FaceTimed her mum while Mel listed four bundles of Beth's own clothes for just £1 each. Beth immediately bought all four before another shopper could get there first.
Each parcel weighed 2kg, keeping them within Vinted's weight limit.
The four packages then made the mammoth journey from Britain to Australia, arriving just nine days later.
Even better, the clothes turned up just over a week later on Beth's birthday.

Beth, who is now a physiotherapist in Sydney, said: “It was such a good hack to discover!
“I could literally picture the clothes I wanted to wear in my wardrobe back home and really didn't want to have to waste money on new ones.”
She said she was stunned when she reopened Vinted in Australia and discovered there were no shipping fees for packages coming from the UK.
“I couldn't believe it was true and immediately worked with my mum to get it sorted,” she added.
“All my stuff ended up arriving just over a week later on my birthday which was just perfect!”
Sadly for bargain hunters, the deal didn't last forever.
Vinted has since removed the free shipping offer in Australia, with the average parcel now costing around £1.50, or $3.03 Australian dollars, to deliver.
Still, Beth's unusual wardrobe rescue proved that sometimes the best travel packing hack is simply knowing how to get your favourite clothes to follow you.
