Wiltshire murder probe: Woman in her 50s arrested after man is stabbed to death

The woman, who is in her 50s, was arrested as the man, in his 40s, died at the scene. The two knew each other, police say.

It happened in Strawberry Fields in the village of Easterton, which is near Devizes in Wiltshire. Police were called just after 8pm on Tuesday.

Police said: “Both individuals are believed to be known to each other and we would like to reassure residents that we do not believe there to be a wider risk to the public.”

The woman was taken to Melksham police station for questioning. Anyone with information can call 101 and quote log number 291 of July 2.
