Man makes £700 a month from unusual haunted house cleansing side hustle
A ‘ghostbuster’ has revealed how he helps householders bothered by mysterious bumps in the night
A man is making up to £700 a month from an unusual side hustle - helping people who believe their homes are haunted.

Londoner Kofi Masdammer, 24, from New Cross, has turned his fascination with the spirit world into a lucrative extra income stream, charging up to £350 to carry out house cleansings for people experiencing unexplained disturbances.
The audio visual engineer says he has helped homeowners who have reported everything from mysterious footsteps and slamming doors to sightings of ghostly figures.
Although he makes an average of £700 a month from the work, Kofi insists his motivation is more about helping frightened people than making money.
He said: "There's a lot of care and compassion that goes into it.

"Every experience is different, and a lot of people can become ill because of encounters with otherworldly forces.
"People say that I've helped say it's changed their lives, many of them thought they'd never get out of it."
Kofi's interest in the paranormal began through his spare-time research into ancient civilisations and their beliefs about the spirit world.
He subsequently taught himself how to carry out home cleansings, using techniques involving yoga and meditation.
His first experience of performing a cleansing came when he was just 18, when he attempted to clear his own family home.
He believes unexplained activity had affected the property and began researching its history, discovering that the surrounding area had been bombed during the Second World War.
Kofi said his family noticed a difference afterwards, describing the atmosphere as much lighter and more harmonious.
After finishing university in 2022, he began using the online platform Airtasker to earn extra money alongside his main job.
Initially, he offered practical services such as installing televisions and sound systems, earning around £300 a month from tasks costing approximately £50.
But everything changed when he spotted a request from someone looking for help cleansing their home.
He realised he could turn his interest into another service and began taking on jobs for people concerned about strange occurrences in their properties.
One recent client had complained of doors slamming and hearing footsteps moving around the house.
Kofi said: "Recently I went to a house where a woman was experiencing doors slamming, and hearing people walking through the house.
"This was causing her health to deteriorate."
He claims he experienced an unusual coldness when entering the property and said a door slammed while he was discussing the woman's experiences.

His cleansing sessions involve working with the elements, including fire, water, smoke and sound. He also uses incense and meditation as part of the process.
A two-bedroom flat can take around 45 minutes to cleanse, while larger properties with three or four bedrooms can require up to two hours.
His starting fee is £50, with more extensive jobs costing as much as £350.
Kofi says his workload increases around Halloween and during the winter months, when he believes people are more likely to experience paranormal activity.
Despite the growing demand, he says helping others remains his priority.
He said: "A lot of people feel afraid to reach out, or feel like they're going crazy, and that no one will believe them."
