Did Harry and Meghan attend the Queen’s funeral?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to break away from the royal family. As a result of their decision, the pair relinquished the duties, income and security protection that came with their role.

Despite this decision the pair still occupied highly visible spots during the funeral and Harry and Meghan were seated directly behind the new monarch King Charles III. However, their decision to relinquish their senior roles meant they were placed on the second row alongside Prince Andrew’s children Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

When will Harry and Meghan return to the US?

The pair last saw their children on 3 September, having attended a talk earlier this month in Manchester and an Invictus Games event in Germany.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were visibly emotional during the late monarch’s funeral which was held at the same place that they were married back in 2018.

Why did Harry and Meghan stop royal duties?

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Prince Harry explained that he left the royal family due to a lack of support and lack of understanding during a discussion regarding the scrutiny he and his wife had received from the British press and the way it was “destroying” his mental health.

Harry explained that he felt he needed to remove his family from the UK as he could see where it was heading and referenced the struggles of his mother Princess Diana.
