Black Friday is officially on its way.

One of the biggest shopping events of the year is almost here, with top retailers set to offer shoppers a plethora of savings on tech, TVs, toys and so much more.

Argos was one of the first high street giants to offer its own Black Friday deals and appears primed and ready to slash prices again in 2021.

Here’s a look at what deals we can expect to see from Argos, when the offers will go live and the extras Argos offers its customers.

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is a major sales event which takes place in both the USA and UK every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving - a national holiday in North America.

It was not until the 2010s that UK retailers began to embrace Black Friday, with US-owned Amazon and Asda (which is now owned by Blackburn-based EG Group and investment firm TDR Capital), the first to offer promotions.

They were soon followed by high street giants, such as Argos and John Lewis, in 2014.

Black Friday is often seen as the beginning of the festive shopping season, with many viewing the sales extravaganza as a way to bag a deal in the run up to Christmas.

When is Black Friday 2021?

While the big day is fast-approaching, don’t panic - you have time to plan.

The 2021 edition of Black Friday is happening on Friday 26 November.

But don’t relax entirely, either. Many retailers - like Amazon - wheel their deals out ahead of Black Friday.

Sometimes, these discounts can appear as early as the end of October.

What Black Friday deals can I get at Argos?

The high street retailer is yet to reveal what its Black Friday discounts will be, although shoppers can expect to see a wide range of deals on top brands and products.

Argos says it will offer “big savings and cracking deals” on a variety of products, including: tech, TVs, gaming software and accessories, home appliances, toys and clothing.

Previous Black Friday deals at Argos have seen big price cuts on vacuum cleaners, smart watches and smart TVs.

When do Argos’s Black Friday 2021 deals go live?

Argos has not yet said when its deals will go live.

But it has said that they will extend to Cyber Monday on 29 November.

In the past, its Black Friday sales have ended on the Tuesday immediately after Cyber Monday.

What else can Argos customers expect on Black Friday 2021?

On top of Argos’s deals, customers will have the added bonus of being able to either spend or earn Nectar points on their purchases.

So, if you’re a regular collector of Nectar points at places like Argos or Sainsbury’s, you could make your Black Friday purchases even better value for money.

And should you wish to collect points rather than splurge them, Argos offers one Nectar point for every £1 spent.

The retailer also has a range of speedy delivery and click and collect options.

Its Fast Track Same Day Home Delivery option means you can get your products delivered in as little as four hours, for £3.95.

Thanks to Argos being owned by Sainsbury’s, you can also pick up your items from hundreds of supermarkets, as well as from more than 700 Argos high street stores.
