Boots has unveiled a new skincare-inspired make-up collection featuring everything from skin tints and cream blushers to mascaras and lip glosses, with prices ranging from £6 to £15.

Boots has welcomed some seriously big names to its beauty offering this year - from luxury favourites Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Malone London to skincare heavyweights Sunday Riley and Kate Somerville, not forgetting viral TikTok sensation P.Louise.

But while all those big-name beauty brands have been tempting us to part with our hard-earned cash, Boots has come up with something that might be a little kinder to our bank balances.

Meet EDIT by Boots, the retailer's new own-brand cosmetics collection. And judging by the sleek packaging, nobody would ever guess some of these products cost less than a tenner.

Prices, in fact, start at just £6 and there’s a free gift when you spend £20 on selected cosmetics - and everything in the Edit collection is included! Shoppers can also get free next-day delivery when spending £30 on selected skincare, haircare and make-up, using the code NEXTDAY at checkout.

So, if your make-up bag could do with a refresh, this might be the perfect excuse to treat yourself without spending a fortune.

Is EDIT by Boots worth buying?

With prices starting at just £6, EDIT offers an affordable way to experiment with some of the latest make-up trends without investing in premium-priced products.

Selected products are also included in a three-for-two promotion, making it even more tempting to try a few different items.

I tried the Radiance Primer, £12, and the Nourishing Gloss, £8, in Peach, and was impressed with the packaging and the results. I particularly like the rosy pink colour of the gloss and its non-sticky feel. I also put the Lash Lengthening Mascara through its paces, and what a lovely surprise that turned out to be! It's almost half the price of my usual mascara but performs every bit as well. This one's definitely going on my buy-again list.

And if you really fancy splashing out, you could treat yourself to all 17 products in the collection for less than £170. That's a complete make-up bag makeover, from primers and skin tint to mascaras, blushers and lip glosses.
