OPI collaborates with popular chocolate brand to launch advent calendar, and it now has 15% off

I’ve been looking at a lot of beauty advent calendars these last few weeks, and I've spotted one that’s a little unusual and could make the countdown to Christmas even more exciting.

Beloved nail brand OPI has teamed up with one of the world's best-known chocolate brands, M&M'S, to create a limited-edition nail polish advent calendar, and the result is rather fun.

The OPI x M&M'S Holiday Advent Calendar is available to shop directly from OPI now and behind each door you'll discover a mini nail polish from the festive collaboration, inspired of course by the chocolate.

Even better, it's currently reduced from £49.99 to £42.49, saving shoppers £7.50 (15%) in the brand's Black Friday Warm-Up sale.

It's a great buy if you're already a fan of OPI's nail lacquers, or if you're looking for a beauty gift for someone who enjoys experimenting with different manicure colours. With the early Black Friday discount, the nail varnishes cost just a little over £3.50 each.

The limited-edition calendar contains 12 mini nail polish bottles from the OPI x M&M'S Holiday Collection. Each one has a playful name inspired by the sweet treats and festive season, making this a little different from your usual beauty advent calendar.

The 12 shades included are:

I particularly like the idea of having a mixture of colours to try throughout December, including classic festive red and green, but also blue, pink and brown.

The varnishes are all created using OPI's Nail Lacquer formula, with the brand promising up to seven days of wear when used with its recommended three-step system.

That involves applying a base coat, followed by two thin coats of your chosen colour and finishing with a top coat. Those aren’t included in the calendar, but you can buy them separately directly from the OPI website - and they also currently have 15% off.

So, although you have 12 different shades for the 12 days of Christmas you won’t actually need to change your mani every day, unless you want to of course, and these polishes will last long beyond the festive season despite their mini size.

This does have an added benefit though, as the small size allows you to experiment with different shades without committing to full-size polishes. And if there’s a shade that isn’t for you, you could share it with a loved one.
