The iconic duo - who first rose to fame 40 years ago - will play a series of shows to support their new studio album, The Tipping Point, which was released on Friday, February 25.

It was the first new album for the band, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, in 17 years. The critical response has been favourable, with the Guardian calling it an “elegant, long-awaited return”.

Based on midweek data published by the Official Charts Company, the veteran band’s latest LP The Tipping Point is on track to become their third number one album, and first in 33 years. A few days into release and it’s already poised to join The Hurting (1983) and The Seeds of Love (1989) as their career chart toppers.

The pair have sold over 30 million albums worldwide and are most well known for hits they released in the 1980s including ‘Shout’, ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’, ‘Mad World’, ‘Sowing The Seeds Of Love’ and “Head Over Heels’.
