Like a lot of football mums, Catherine, Princess of Wales went for a low key look to watch her son Prince Louis play at the weekend.

In September this year, Catherine, Princess of Wales released a video by Will Warr, where she revealed that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. Since then, she has been making a gradual return to royal duties. She recently accompanied Prince William to Southport where the couple privately met the families of the three girls who died following the knife attack this summer.

It was the Princess of Wales’s first community visit since the end of last year and her first since her cancer diagnosis. The Prince and Princess of Wales met the families of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar, who all died at The Hart Space community centre in July of this year. The couple also met privately one of the dance teachers who was leading the Taylor Swift yoga and dance workshop at the time of the attack.

After the attack took place, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a statement which read: "As parents, we cannot begin to imagine what the families, friends and loved ones of those killed and injured in Southport today are going through.

"We send our love, thoughts and prayers to all those involved in this horrid and heinous attack."

Catherine, Princess of Wales is expected to join her husband, Prince William, King Charles and the rest of the royal family at the Cenotaph for the National Service of Remembrance on 10 November. It has also recently been reported that Catherine, Princess of Wales, might attend the Gladiator II premiere at the 72nd Royal Film Performance which will take place on November 13.

As well as returning to work on more formal occasions, it would seem that Catherine, Princess of Wales is also ensuring that she is spending as much time with her family as possible.

In a video shared to TikTok, a fellow football mum or soccer mom as they are known, explained how she came to see the Princess of Wales. In the video, she said: “As usual, I went to the football match, and as I arrived, there were a lot of people chit chatting—it was a weird atmosphere, not the usual atmosphere. I was chatting with one of my friends who I see there every week. I was. Like, ‘What’s going on? What’s the excitement? It’s just a football match.’ … Her friend then said: “If you turn around, Kate Middleton is over there with Louis. He’s playing in a team over there.’ …

In the video, she also said: “My mouth dropped, I have been talking about her for the past nine months. She was literally just thirty footsteps away from me.” She debated whether to take a photograph because of her security but decided to and shared it with everyone.

In the photograph, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is seen next to what looks to be another football mom and is dressed in a baker boy hat, brown flares, a brown scarf, brown gloves, a pistachio coloured bag and a baker boy’s cap.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, For the low-key outing, she wore a khaki barn jacket—the very same Barbour × Alexa Chung coat she wore to deliver pizzas to the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team in spring of 2023.

Catherine, Princess of Wales’s baker boy hat looks remarkably similar and is more than likely the same hat that she wore when she visited the Great Tower Scout camp in Windermere, Cumbria in March 2013 when she was the Duchess of Cambridge.

If you want a baker boy hat, there are plenty to choose from on the high street. How about this Black Boucle Sparkle Baker Boy Hat, £14.99, from New Look? I also like this Herringbone Wool Blend Baker Boy Cap, £29, from John Lewis.
