As things stand, there is no rush to hand Isak a new deal, as he is under contract at St. James’ Park until the summer of 2028. Instead, this proposed new deal will be to fend off interest from other clubs - Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with a move for the Swedish international.
Eberechi Eze could be ‘priced out’ of big money move
Crystal Palace ace Eberechi Eze has a release clause of £68 million in his contract that will become active next year - and former scout Mick Brown is concerned that it could price him out of a big move later down the line.
Speaking with Football Insider, Brown said: “I don’t think clubs will be meeting that release clause. Somewhere down the line, I would expect him to leave Palace, but they won’t get that price for him.

He’s a very talented player, there’s no doubt about that, but I think he’s a player who needs support. He needs players around him who can feed him the ball and let him do his thing. If clubs are going to be paying money like that, they’ll be looking for a player who can lift the level of their team by themselves.”
